what's the funtion of hosting?

A web hosting service is a type of Internet hosting service that allows individuals .... Resellers could function, for individual domains, under any combination.
 
10 years industry experience, but what is hosting? I am assuming you are just trying to get posts or something, but that is kind of annoying.
 
I think he is just being a pain, as if he was post counting then i would of expected him to post several 1 line pointless posts, but he has just posted this 1
 
Maybe he was testing the waters. He could also be a spammer. I have had spammers like this on my site. They post strange questions and several month or so later come back and start spamming up the place. Some times even creating several accounts under the same Ip.
 
Congratulations you have invoked a question of whether you are here to waste time or legitimately showing that you have no hosting knowledge. Neither of which could work in your favor...
 
I think you guys believe he is asking for the function when in reality he is asking for the funtion

I am also curious about the answer :crazy:

We've been equally baffled. To go through a tough registration process to post this. :uhh:

That made me chuckle and unfortunately it is exactly how most people will look at this. Seems like that is what some companies' understanding of social marketing is nowadays. Another modern classic case here. Some companies are so lost in understanding what makes them rank highly in search engines that they believe, without any knowledge, that posting general questions on targeted communities, general articles with SEO-enabled keywords, comments on blog posts, still do the trick, when it backfires on them most of the time. They seem to be more worried about how to raise in the search results than about the actual "function of hosting".

True, but you think they would proof read and check spelling before finally posting
 
SEO is confusing. I just enabled a few new SEO features that got added to IPB and I started getting more spam. SO I guess it worked.

I remember when you could get more traffic to your site by posting on other sites but that has not worked in years.
 
Sounds like your really lost.. Check the wiki out that bunnykins posted a link to. Hopefully if you know the funtion of reading then you'll get the funtion of hosting..

True and notice that since the OP posted this they have not been back to check on any replies.

Maybe they have forgotten the

funtion of a keyboard
funtion of PC/Laptop
funtion of the Internet
