What Servers are you using for VPS hypervisors or nodes?

I'm curios what everyone else has been using for their physical server (Make/model, RAM, Storage, NIC, ect.) to run VPS hypervisors on. Any insight will be greatly appreciated.

I’d be happy to share our experience!

The choice of server hardware largely depends on your target audience and priorities. For us, enterprise-grade resilience and ease of use are key, so we standardize on Dell PowerEdge R7XX-xd variations. These servers are highly reliable, feature-rich, and most of our clients appreciate the familiarity with iDRAC for management. They also offer strong native OS support in terms of Windows, Linux or even vendor branded appliances. However, this does come at a premium cost.

For use cases requiring high-capacity storage, we’ve also deployed SuperMicro systems, such as the SYS-2029U-E1CRT, which can accommodate a large number of storage bays—ideal for storage-intensive workloads.

You can check out our dedicated server offerings to get a sense of our configurations in terms of CPU, memory, storage capacity, and more.

Hope this helps!
