what design software do you use?

When designing your web page are you a hard core Notepad programmer or do you using a GUI interfaced program to help you out?

I use dreamweaver, fireworks, photoshop 7, flash mx, then notepad for my javascripts, php scripts.

Dreamweaver seems to be the popular tool of choice these days.

Have you had the chance to use the Online-database manip feature in dreamweaver yet??? Its rather nice where you can connect to your server live and program the database stuff into your page while dreamweaver writes all the code you need. It supports java, perl, asp, php.

i only use dreamweaver and photoshop.
I havent used that feature Jonathan, didnt even know about it until you said but it sounds like a great idea.
Where is it in the program?
I havent noticed it in the menu before, I think I have the latest version here.
I test most of my code on my own computer, I have php and MySQL installed so can test most things I would be using.
Use IIS instead of apache but it works just as well for my needs to test anyway

I use Realdraw pro - great for graphics, and it can do some stuff in one click that there are 40 step photshop tutorials for doing!

Namo webeditor - got it free on a coverdisk, and find it quite useful for laying out tables and layout out my design

Editplus - Great for tweaking things, fast, easy and I love the way it manages projects and files. Good for php, css, html etc.

Photoshop Elemtnns - pretty good for web graphics, use it with realdraw

Paintshop pro 8 - I have to say I like the speed and simplicity of psp. Sometimes it takes a very long time to do something with photoshop that can be achieved easily with psp. Plus scripting is very useful for creating image sets

Delphi - If I need a program for anything else, IE for making lots of buttons in one go from a templkate, I just code it myself
