What Companies Offer Monthly Service?

I just spent three hours digging through a pile of hosting companies trying to pick one, and although lots of them looked nice, were recommended by plenty of people and cost a reasonable amount they required 6months-a year up front. Some of them had a money back guarantee for 30/45/60 days, but what good is that if I have to cough up $60-100+ bucks to decide for a month?

So I'm looking for a list of companies who sell hosting monthly, not just at a monthly fee figured from the bigger time frame you pay for.

MOD NOTE: Let's keep this about other hosting companies. It's fairer this way. Thank you for your understanding.

So does HostingMatters (www.hostingmatters.com). Years of excellent experience with them. You won't find unlimited-anything there, but the service is great, and they do offer a monthly payment option on their shared accounts.

What type of specifications are you looking for? There are many hosts that offer monthly plans. In fact I'd say that most hosts have month to month agreements.

What is your requirements and your budget?
As most host offers money back guarantees as well as monthly payments, it would be better if you know what you need.

Always remember that you'll get what you paid for. ;)

We'll need to know more to be able to help you. I know that Hostgator offers monthly payment as well as a lot of other smaller companies. Like Brian said most hosts offer a monthly payment plan

I am looking for a company that will let me pay for one month of service. A money back gaurantee wold be nice but not necessary. I don't need alot of space as its a new site and for the first month or two won't generate much traffic. I don't want to spend $100 to lock in a 6 month rate when I may only be there month or less. I'd rather earn interest on my money instead of some hosting company. ;) So while many of them offer monthly payments, I don't want locked into a six month commitment just to get the monthly payment.

Either I wasn't looking in the right places on the sites I went to or they really are just that greedy. I was all set to buy my domain after picking a host company, but I'm not prepaying 3-6months.

If you only looks at the hosts advertising in hosting directories or present in "top 10 hosts" sites, finding such may prove difficult, but outside the budget hosting market, monthly billing is the rule rather than the exception.

lol, that was rather criptic ld ;)

I'm rather all over the place about searching for a webhost. I've used the top ten lists, places suggested by friends and clients, etc. Just haven't come across the right one appraently although I know they exist somewhere. I'll keep searching though. Any keywords to get out of the cheap/budget hosting results?

I am hosted with Hostgator and I pay monthly :) Was that the type of web host that you were looking for? Are you wanting to weed out the cheap and budget results? Try adding -cheap or -budget to your search string

I found my reseller-provider, years ago when I started out, quite by accident. I didn't see them listed in any of the top-ten sites, I didn't see any Google ads, I didn't even read about them in any forums. I was initially prepared to move if need be...and now I'm still with them, having moved to a few dedicated servers about four years ago.

Somehow, though, I don't know that that will help. There isn't a good way to replicate "by accident" results.

digit's suggestion of tailoring your search results sounds like a good start. Another approach you could try is visit various hosting forums and check the various members' companies. If they're active in those forums, you've got one way to see an example of their customer service by reading their posts and replies.

I can see no reason in the world why you should have to give some one your money 12 months in advance. What for? From where I stand I know many people who request paying a year in advance. I can never figure that out. Pay month to month. An honest host has no issues allowing month to month payments.

What site(s) are you hosting with this company? Please provide the URLs so we can verify.

my site is www.************ which host with www.**************
I have few questions for you and the owner of **************:

1. Why does Whois show identical information on both domains, including the same "domain updated" date?

2. If you are a paying client of the company, why do you include "Powered by **************" in the footer of your site?

3. The footer/header of both sites and the overall design of both sites seems like were built by the same person.

4. Why does the Whois for ************** domain name say it was registered on April 24, 2008, while the company states they have been in business (and with a copyright footer note "All rights reserved" on top of that) since 2001?
