I am working in an advertising company and I want to establish a website for my company. I am little bit nervous about fake companies which take money early and not complete your work at time. Anyone please suggest me any company which can make a website for me and ask for the money after the completion of the work.

Hi Richard,

You're most likely not going to find a web desing company which won't require you to pay in advance, either the full price or a minimum. They can't risk working 12 hours and not getting paid because the client changed their mind on the last minute. ;)

That being said, I recommend PaytonDesigns.com. They are very professional and trustworthy. I'm sure they can help you desing your website with no problems.

So you want them to assume the whole risk. That's not how this typically goes AFAIK. Designers with that sort of policy run a huge risk, and unlike customers who can do their research on the company, doing research on potential customers is virtually impossible.

When I do web design for a client I make them sign a contract. Usually making them pay 50% of the total amount. Most companies will do like that. If you are going to use a web design company over the internet I strongly urge you to read the terms of service. Best of luck and look around for better deals and do some more research. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.

Some money upfront is the rule of thumb for designers - normally 50%. What kind of site are you looking to post?

Re, Want to create a website for my company. Need Help!!!

You are right my friend, because there are many fake companies which do the same what you are saying. In fact they use to take money early and not complete your work before time. But I know one of the company *************** which will take money after making your website. And it gives 110% satisfaction guaranty to all his customers. *************** is professional, very creative, and easy to deal with. Their staff paid close attention to how I wanted things done and they believed it. It would be my pleasure to work with them in future.

That is why you never engage these kind of services without without a proper contract in place. Know who you are dealing with before sending them the money. Study the portfolio, verify it, and don't just believe the first kid who will quote you $100 for the full website.

well......

I have developed many many websites, all without any payment up front and I have always being paid for all of them.

What many people do now to get a website is to install wordpress or Joomla and customise many of the available templates or many hosting packages now come with RVsitebuilder.

Payton Designs I had a very VERY bad experience with just 2 months ago, but hopefully I'm not the normal case. They did have nice looking work, which is why I wanted them to do a small site for me, but the project which should have only taken a few hours was almost 40 days past due with almost NO contact (contact only being issued after I pressured a number of times). They did give me MOST of my money back as they didn't deliver a product.

I've been in the design industry for almost 20 years, and in web design for 15 of those. I no longer do design myself, but I consult on projects and outsource for the best fits. If you want some contact names, drop me a PM here and I'll give you a few places to check out.

As for money up front etc - depending on the size of the job you can go ZERO out of pocket. Many companies will do that for small jobs ($100-200). Those that are small jobs, under $700 I usually pay up front for everything, and up to $2000 jobs I usually pay 50% up front and go from there. On larger projects ($10,000+) there's usually milestones in place for the payments and the delivery of product.

Always get a contract! Know what you're getting, when you're getting it!

If you ask me, give this work to a free lance website designer, instead of a so called company. You can save money and you will also get assurance of job getting completed. You will find many such people. I had my brothers company site designed by a free lance worker. Here is the email <<email snipped>>.

I've done web development for years, and you learn that a) working on larger projects to always use a service like Escrow.

That way both parties are safeguarded.

The funds are securely acquired, and the people doing the work, have recourse, if the payor isn't following through with payment.

Check out www.escrow.com

Plus if your going to outsource to a freelancer, many of those sites offer escrow services as a built in peice to their offering.

All you have to do is find a reliable web design company that could fit your needs. I also look for designers who can construct my website professionally. Looks like both of us need them.
