Vowels

Of course most people wouldn't choose non-vowel words (if any) for their domain names, except the words are abbreviations. But do you think the more vowels in a domain name is the better? I notice some popular websites use words containing many vowels for their domain names, for instance google (3 vowels, 3 consonants), yahoo (3 vowels, 2 consonants).

I don't think the vowel to consonant ratio has any bearing on popularity. The proper combination of them makes for easier reading and remembering. :D

Who knows what's happening in the Google algorithm and how they rank sites. Maybe one day they'll choose to consider the number of letters as a significant factor.
