Dont buy from them. The owner is a real <<EDITED>>. We wanted to buy a dedicated server, and my partner's bank said that the money went through, but when we asked him, he said no. All we needed him to do was to send a statement saying it did not go through, and he could not do that. As a matter of fact, here is what he was saying:

Us:
John (10:18:01 pm) : I apologize. No need to get ignorant. I didnt' know that was the case. I got off the phone.

Him:
You’re a selfish human being who "needs improvement" not me. You’re the "ignorant" one who expects me to fulfill your will and your banks will. You are ignorant and you just lost major privilege to a real hosting company. Little do you know, but it’s too late. Your lack of respect and self centered attitude got you no where fast.

Where this came from, I dont know, but he told us to get off the phone with the bank because he wanted to talk to them. The way it was said, caused us to react the way he did. There was NO NEED for his rude behavior.

Prices are good, but the support is bad! Even this morning, I tried to send him a message through chat, and he left without even responding...

That's harsh. Did you say something to them prior to that to make him just go off like that? I havn't really seen any good or bad posts on them really, however I do see them post around a lot with there advirtisements. But calling your potential customer or a customer ignorant is a bad bad mistake.

ouch

ouch, that is harsh...honestly I had them on my list of "potential" hosts, but now I am not so sure.

Their live support prior to you signing up is very good (they often try to speak with you the moment you view their website...I was just browsing and suddenly had a live support window open on me! my friend had the same thing happen when he visited their site).

I asked if they would do FreeBSD on the dedicated servers, and they said that they didn't usually - but would be happy to do it for me if I managed the server myself (which is fair enough). However, I realise this is their pre-signup support...and that can be very different to after-signup support ;)

Does anyone else have any experience with these guys at Virtuoso?

Well, the company looks pretty good but I guess after you buy from them... All they care is about the money... See, thats why no one should if ever sign up yearly for a dedicated server/hosting because they have already got the money from you and they wouldn't give a #^*%@ about the clients...
