Very nice web hosting

I search on the Internet and I found this site www.e-rofiles.com that has good web hosting packages and free ones. I want to put a site on the Internet but I am not sure where.
What do you think ? Shall I begin with a Free one from e-rofiles and transfer this to a paid one, or jump directly to a paid one ?

Many thanks.

This web hosting service is barely one month old. How did you find it?

Overall, trying provider's hosting service is the best way to go because you'll get the feeling for what the service is like. However, if you are looking for a serious experience, then I'd say try their paid hosting first as free hosting does not always represent the service you'll get if you were a paying client. Free hosting clients might be put on more busy servers, or experience higher uptime. Especially that most hosting companies offer 15-30 day money back guarantee - so you'll be able to walk away if you don't like the service.

I must be a miracle that you have a romanian IP and the host is romanian, that your username is andrei, which happens to be the name of the owner of the host you mention, and that this company was just started, with no mentions on the web besides the ones you've made on a number of forums, with the title "Very nice web hosting" -- such a wonderful attention grabber for anyone looking for hosting.

Perhaps this thread should remain online, so that future potential customers of e-rofiles.com will find it while researching the brand?

And then we fellow romanians wonder: "Why oh why do we have such a bad name in this world?". You're the reason why.

Dan, I am all for leaving this thread live in order to bring publicity this company deserves.

Actually even bad policity is good publicity because it gets a name out there. LOL Ive seen it before with a company I used to work with before the owner spammed and did the same thing. Sales increased 50% actually. No lie.

Actually not all bad publicity is good. There was a company a year ago that I will leave nameless for now, that received bad reviews on two forums, including HostingDiscussion.com. To the point where when their clients searched for their name on search engines, these two conversations on two different forums would come first.. Imagine seeing your name of the company next to "terrible company" heading first thing when you search for it online?

At first they tried to threaten both of our media with legal action, even though they did acknowledge mistakes in that threat. But seeing how we do not bend to their pagewaxing practices and threats, the company has either taken their site down or closed their doors altogether, because their site has been down for a while now.

Hello,

There is no shame starting out with a free hosting provider. However, be aware that you will not get the same features you would if you where to pay for web hosting. Best of luck to you.

Most of I "liked" their FAQ section :) Too little questions and too simply ones, I guess there should be more in that section :)

That is truth. The simpest way to save time with answering on such questions everytime

It is always better to go for paid hosting. You can ensure protection to your files, when you use good and relaible hosts. Else you will put yourself into troubles :)
