Type of CMS you use?

Which CMS do you use to power your web sites and why?

If it is a free CMS, which paid CMS would you go for, should you decide to use a paid CMS?

The last CMS I used was phpnuke and it was paid. I had the latest version that time, I think it was 7.0 or 8.0.. can't remember, but I hated it!

PHP-NUke is soo buggy and just isn't what it used to be like. PostNuke isn't too bad either, though I didn't like the lack of skins for it. I don't really use a CMS and don't expect too. I'm thinking of going back to good ol PHP and using MYSQL for my data.

I am a new and big fan of WordPress CMS for blogging/informational websites.

My favorite CMS of all time, perhaps, would be DJEM information management system.

Best,

Actually, I started with html, then went on to coding sites and using php. But when it came to updating and features, i was inclined to use CMS. After having used CMS for quite some time now, i am still looking for a solution that works great.

I shifted to CMS so that it could save my time and ease out the process. Though it eases the site updating part, but now i am occupied on other front, that is keeping CMS updated and following up in their forums. So, where i expected to save some time, i am still spending that much time and on a CMS, some thing which is just to make my work easier. :(

So, i felt, may be i am not aware of some good CMS or atleast those which don't keep you hooked on for upgrading and similar, where author releases more of a complete suite rather than releasing alpha or beta or may be buggy final versions. :(
