Tree-Host = unreliable!!!

After being with tree host for over a year, my website disappeared around the 22nd of September. At first they were helpful (offered to transfer me to a working server), and now are just ignoring my support tickets - without transfering me. NOT HAPPY TREE HOST!


So Tree-host, if you are on these forums, you better be planning on getting your act together! This is disgusting service.
 
Do you have a backup? If so, find a new web host and move on.

If your web site has been down since 22 sept, that shows that the company doesn't care of their customers.

I read this one story about a client whos host actually "hacked"* his account and tried to sell him a several hundred dollar security assesement. The client check all the server logs and notcied the only activity in the past month was from an unknown ip. Upon further review, he found out it was the IP of his host.
He called the manager and it turned out the employee worked for the security company and was later fired. Its always sad to hear stories like that.


* I say "hacked" because the company had his username and password. So all they did was replace his main page with a fake hacker page.
