Greetings,

I represent toumanov media (www.toumanov.com), an online media company. In essence, I'm looking for enthusiastic and highly qualified individuals who would be motivated to run and manage one (or more) of the following properties under my management:

EcommerceTalk.com, FreelanceTalk.com, PromotionTalk.com, SoftwareTalk.com, StartupTalk.com.

After almost a year of just having these web sites and not having a minute of my time to devote to their growth and prosperity, I'm looking for individuals who are passionate about one of the above subjects who would be interested to take under their day-to-day operations.

Those are the moderators with good to expert knowledge in the subject, with good business sense, which would make them great managers of the properties, who would take care of smaller decisions.

The goal this person would face is a challenging one - to reinvent the web sites, bring them back to life, grow the userbase and showcase great leadership example by participating, assisting members and solving issues. You may be given a budget to efficiently manage and use on marketing/advertising/PR campaigns toward the property of your choice.

20% equity ownership option would be assigned to your position as a moderator/manager for as long as you stay active. Assuming you stay with the web site for at least 1 full year, show care and effort, upon leaving, if it comes to that, you will be provided with a reasonable management cash amount for your efforts.

These web sites have huge potential, they all have good startup traffic (they are all linked), so its a matter of conversion, management and persistence to grow them into leading industry resources.

Some of the required essential skills:

- You have to be 18 years of age or older.
- English has to be your first language and you shall use it accordingly: perfect spelling, correct grammar, punctuation marks and coherent expressions.
- Knowledge of the forum rules.
- You have to be comfortable enforcing the forum policies and lead by example.
- Advice and resolve conflicts if such appear.
- Be very friendly, fair and reasonable with people. Always.
- Fast response to issues, new posts, etc.

* Previous experience as a moderator/administrator is a huge plus.

Keep in mind that we would work as a team, so if you have a serious problem/issue in front of you, you can always come to me for advice/solution.

Please post, Private Message or e-mail me at artashes(AT)hostingdiscussion.com if you are interested. Please send me a formal letter, introduce yourself, explain why you would like to endeavor into something like this and why you should be chosen. One-line responses as in "im very good. pick me pliz." will not be considered. Specify which property you would be most interested in managing.

*I'm also open to discussing similar partnership opportunities with other individuals/media companies. Open to acquisition requests.

Best,

Hi Art,

I'm very interested in this opportunity.

My time is very balanced when it comes to my co-ownership in my own company. I generally make time for everything I take on, and get things done efficiently. So, time is certainly not a problem.

When I initially read this thread, I was interested in a partnership. However, I think that is something that can or may be more possible later.

With that said, and that ultimate goal in mind, I'm particularly interested in moderating/managing any one of the following properties:
FreelanceTalk.com, SoftwareTalk.com, StartupTalk.com.

I have experience in all 3 of these areas. While I obviously cannot take on the task of all three, I'm hard pressed to choose one that interests me over the other. :)

If I had to choose between the three, I definately have a passion for software, and software development.

I generally have a methodical process in which I work to grow our company, and decrease costs. I think the process is something that could benefit any of the three properties, by not only increasing exposure, and growth, but decreasing the expense used to obtain the goal.

I certainly have no problems enforcing rules. I'm an ex military man, and rules are very important to me. I'm very straight forward, and feel that honesty, straight forwardness, and the ability to enforce "the law" fairly, is a major aspect of any society or community.

I of course have experience as a community advisor here at HostingDiscussion. I also have administrator, and moderator experience at AvidNewMedia's company/support forum.

As the co-founder and co-owner of AvidNewMedia I have a vast amount of creative management experience.

I certainly look forward to hearing even more about the opportunity, as well as discussing it further with you.

Hello, Art

I'm extremely interested in your offer to moderate and manage one or more of your 5 discussion forums. Specifically, I am applying for partial ownership & management of SoftwareTalk.com for the following reasons:

As you know, I currently administer and moderate Softwaretalk.com, a position I have held for several months now and have already discussed with you via email some concerns I had about forum stagnation and a few ideas I would like to implement to raise the site's membership and overall interest. Our current membership on that forum is around 75. I would like to see this number triple or even quadruple over the next 6 months. A goal I would set for myself, if given the opportunity to administer and manage the site as a 20% owner, and with your permission of course, would be to implement some content restructuring and incentives to have members refer other members to the site and to have a total, active participating membership of over 500 within a year. I think that my ideas in this regard would be quite beneficial toward reaching that goal. I would be glad to discuss them with you in greater detail at your convenience rather than post them here in this response.

I feel that I am fully qualified for the position of hosting SoftwareTalk.com since by profession I have been an IT professional for County Government for over 6 years. I am fluent in Microsoft Windows desktop and network operating systems, including Windows 98/98SE/ME/2000 Professional, XP Professional as well as Windows 2000/2003 Server & Advanced Server. I am proficient in MS-DOS, Unix, and Linux (specifically Redhat 9 Server & SuSE Linux 9 Enterprise Server). I am very knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite & scores of graphics and wordprocessing software designed for MS Windows. I also am very knowledgeable in Open Source software under the GNU licensing provisions through affiliation with SourceForge.net. I hold CompTIA A+ and Networking + Certifications. This organization is highly respected throughout the United States representing well over 7500 vendors in the computer industry. I also hold a BA degree in Mathematics which serves me well when it comes to "attention to detail."

My background as a Naval Officer for 20 years holds me in good stead as someone who would take a decisive leadership role in decision making for your company. As a former Controller for a Naval Activity, I have held positions of fiduciary responsibility and would not have any problem with managing a small budget for marketing/advertising/& PR for SoftwareTalk.com.

I believe that my writing skills and overall knowledge of the English language would be greatly beneficial in moderating this website. I have been an editor for The World Journal.com's Technology section off and on since its beginning in 1999 and have written many articles for your online newspaper which fully support my claim. In addition, I am a website designer in my own right, fluent in HTML 4.0 and the latest webauthoring tools, such as Net Objects Fusion & Microsoft Frontpage. I currently host 5 virtual websites on my own Apache Web Server running in Linux that I implemented as part of my 5-PC home network via DSL connection. I also host my own web business website that I recently took full control over rather than having it hosted by a third party.

As a 20% owner in the SoftwareTalk.com, I would give you my pledge to see SoftwareTalk.com forum be one of your premier discussion forums in the next 5 years.
