To Saakashvili and his American friends.

I am so tired of listening to all this complaining and bitching on behalf of Georgia's President (and actor, as I call him) Saakashvili and his American "owners" and allies about Russia's "agression" against criminal actions of Georgia.

I just can't believe the massive amount of desinformation and propaganda in all western media - to the point of embarassment really! Every time an American politician or a political expert opens his mouth on CNN I can't help but laugh. I wonder why the west keeps silent about one thing: Who started the "agression" in the night from Aug 7-8 of the Olympics opening? And the manner/timing in which it was started? It was deceptive, criminal and way below any level of understanding. While American gov (Saakashvili was appointed with their direct help obviously - everybody knows that) never brings it up, like nothing happened. As if Saakashvili did not start ethnic cleaning of Southern Osetiya for almost 24 hours before Russian could bring in support. As if there are no thousands of witnesses who ran away from his killings, which can be classified as pure genocide. As if he did not attack Russian peacekeeping forces, killing 15 and injuring over 150 during those night hours. As if he did not bomb the crap out of Tsikhinvali without any targeting and shoot everything that moves. As if his unprofessional army did not burn young Osetian girls in buildings, run over elderly and children with tanks, did not cut newborns in half... Nobody talks to those who escaped and witnessed these horrific war crimes.

Saakashvili has been acting like a crazy maniac for way too long to give him any credibility whatsoever. His ethnic cleansing, commentaries, constast provocations, lies and desinformation clearly positions him (at least in my mind) next to Saddam or Hitler.

Nothing is going to happen to Russia. The United States will chicken out of any military engagement (this will be their end - militarily, socially and financially), and their Boy-Toy President of Georgia will go one day, regardless of their protection... The U.S. interest really is only in establishing their military equipment in Georgia, so geographical, not social.

To finish my thought, I wonder how is it that the United States is the only country that thinks they can bomb other nations without approval: Yugoslavia and Iraq in recent memory alone. What and who gave THEM the right to attack another nation, without any reason? Russia is protecting its citizens from full scale genocide and has the right to do whatever it takes to destroy the enemy and bring leaders of Georgia to justice.

Saakashvili is an American boot licker though Art.
Add that to the fact they have an oil pipeline and you see the results.

Even more, McCain's campaign manager has made millions off of Saakashvili with his lobbying firm to promote Georgia to the US and McCain has helped him out every step of the way.

As America's UN Ambsassador Zalmay Khalilzad would testify, it's only wrong if you do it in Europe.

How glad I am to see some people can actually read through the bs government and media feeds them with. PS: Jon Stewart does not disappoint! :)

As for McCain, I missed that altogether, so thanks for pointing it out. No wonder why he was so aggressive about Russia's position.

I promised myself I wasn't going to take politics seriously anymore, and then this takes place... I should calm my nerves.

Gorbachev has been saying that from the very beginning of this conflict all over Russian media. Of course Americans censored everything up to this moment. They still do censor a lot of the statements by Russian officials who publicly named CNN the tool of propaganda for Saakashvili (and jeez, the amount of time he or Goergian state officials were getting versus few minutes of "protocol" commentaries by the Russians tell the story). I am actually surprised they even put this on air - they've been doing so far an excellent job of not releasing any images, statements by Moscow. In fact, on a couple of occasions I found CNN anchors to be rather rude with high Moscow officials during their interviews, almost angrily putting words in their mouths.

And reading the above article, it is funny how they still edit the stories and show parts of the video interview only where he talks about more beneficial to American side of things, like "cold war is coming back", blah-blah-blah...

Even former Georgian president Eduard Shevarnadze has made public statements about Saakashvili's unstable, childish, war-like mentality. If you remember, in 2005 Georgian president did try to start the war, but back then Bush administration quickly put him in place and literally told him to behave.

Its alright though, nobody really takes Americans seriously in Russia, especially Moscow. The people did, do and will continue to dislike the American system and U.S. administration's self-proclaimed role of world police. The Europe is way more important to the Russians and now a lot of the European countries realizing the Russian side of story is the only one without exaggeration. And their reaction has been way more careful about the conflict. Although its important to mention that Europe depends on Russia energy-wise.

Actions and orders of Saakashvili has not only damaged his own reputation but ruined the credibility of every Georgian government office that has been feeding the press with lies and disinformation throughout the process, and still continue to do so.

I suppose by now I should be immune but the hypocrisy of these idiot politicians NEVER ceases to amaze me.

The International Olympic Committee should punish Russia by moving the 2014 Winter Olympics out of Sochi, Russia, the co-chairs of the congressional House Georgia Caucus said.

Reps. Allyson Schwartz, D-Pa., and Bill Shuster, R-Pa., said in a joint statement they plan to file a resolution declaring that Russia's movement of troops into Georgia on the eve of the Beijing Olympics makes it an unacceptable country to host the games.

Will these two clowns also introduce a resolution to take the next Summer olympics away from London because they were partners in an illegal and immoral war and occupation of a soverign nation?
Will they introduce a resolution asking to take Chicago off of the list of candidates in 2016 because of the US part in this illegal and immoral attack and occupation of a soverign country?

Or how about these morons spewing the latest talking points:

John McSame
in the 21st century nations don't invade other nations.

George W. Bush
Russia has invaded a sovereign neighbouring state.... Such an action is unacceptable in the 21st century.... We have no doubts about it. This is a deliberate attempt to destroy an entire country and change the regime.

Zalmay Khalilzad
The days of overthrowing leaders by military means in Europe — those days are gone.

George W. Bush
bullying and intimidation are not acceptable ways to conduct foreign policy in the 21st century

A 12-year old girl saying how it is - cut off on FOX:

YouTube has earlier also blocked the statistical counter of how many people viewed the video - based on numerous comments and some press reports.

Additionally, I liked this article from The Times newspaper:
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/comment/columnists/guest_contributors/article4525885.ece

I particularly enjoyed a couple of comments from some of the readers:

First one, I thought, was rather amusing: "One thought: since the foreign policy of the US affects so many people including me, how come I don't get to vote in the upcoming US presidential election?"

Second: "ask yourself a question..why 30 000 of south osetian refugees has been seeking for salvation in "invading" Russia, not in peaceful Georgia and Tbilisi.."

I don't like Pat Buchanan at all but this is a great piece that explains a lot.

Great find. A very interesting read and mostly very accurate.
My personal prediction, Russia will stay in Georgia until Saakashvili is out, and until new Russian-installed Georgian government makes amends. Saakashvili's credibility in the eyes of Europe is extremely low (just chewing on his own tie before a speech on live TV makes you wonder...). Medvedev has already called him a moron so to speak, and nobody in Moscow will talk to him directly. Will France, or perhaps Germany, is interested in being a message boy between the two? I doubt they have the time...

It's hardly news that the U.S., like many countries, espouses standards that it routinely violates, but still, even in light of such routine hypocrisy, wouldn't you think that this,(http://www.mcclatchydc.com/227/story/49125.html) from Condoleezza Rice today, on an airplane to U.S. reporters while traveling to a NATO meeting, would be too brazen to utter:

Russia is a state that is unfortunately using the one tool that it has always used whenever it wishes to deliver a message and that's its military power. That's not the way to deal in the 21st century.

Whatever one's views are on the justifiability of each isolated instance, it's simply a fact that the U.S. invades, bombs, occupies, and interferes in the internal affairs of other countries far more than any other country on the planet. It's not even a close competition.

Just during the time Rice has served in the Bush administration, we bombed, invaded and occupied Afghanistan; did the same to Iraq; repeatedly bombed Somalia, killing all sorts of civilians; fed bombs to Israel as they invaded and bombed Lebanon; top political officials (led by John McCain and Joe Lieberman) have repeatedly threatened, and advocated, that the same be done to a whole host of other countries, including Iran and Syria. That's to say nothing of the virtually countless interventions and bombings in the pre-Bush, "peacetime" years -- from the Balkans and Panama to Somalia, Iraq, Libya, Sudan, and on and on and on.

I absolutely agree with you guys. Saakashvili is just like an American marionette. He did really awful and hideous thing. But I don't understand why Ukraine and many other countries protect Georgia's president. They don't know what they are doing. They were Soviet Nations and this mark has to be left in people's memory forever. They have to assist Russia always, to be friends with it.

Well said. Couldn't agree more with you!

Several days ago I heard that Georgia broke off the diplomatic relations Russia. It was a big error from Georgia's side, because it will stay without gas and mutual support.
I can't understand France, Ukraine and other countries which assist Georgia. Who the hell they are to contradict Russia.

Georgia has been saying that for months and years, trying to "scare" Russia. Russian officials have already stated they wouldn't talk to Saakashvili as they no longer see him as credible and a mentally healthy person to communicate with.

I heard that Minsk maintained friendly with Russia.
But Ukraine has to be bound with Russia instead of helping Georgia.

Saakhashvili behaved too barefaced towards Russia as he thought from the back of the USA, but USA do not need any problems with Russia, especially caused by the land which formerly was a part of Russian Empire and USSR henceforth

European Union allocated over a million of euros to Georgia. But why did they allocate some money to South Ossetia, it has also destroyed town by Georgians?

Oh well it's just politics and powerplay by different nations . Media do have been from time to time slanting reports to what their target audience wants .

U.S in the beginning seem to have decided to leave Saakashvili to his own devices but later changed tack as they felt it would send a negative image to potential US allies .
