.tk domains

I've been looking into dot.tk and Wondering on how people do such a thing like create there own domains, Like for example if I wanted to create a domain ex like lets say I wanted to provide domains for people but wanted them to be whatever.ph lets say .ph instead of .com how do I manage such a thing? How can I make it happen?

I think this is the area of top-level domains in which ICANN makes decisions, not us. Probably for the better, too, as it would be a mad-house without institutional control.

You could pay thousands of dollars to ICANN to request a new extension I think =/

If you're serious about your business buy a domain name of your own, it hardly cost you $8 to 10.

no i have a .tk domain and still alive only way your domain would disappere is when its not active.
i had mine for about 5 years+ and still working

I'm not quite sure I understand what you mean by disappeared all of a sudden. Did the domain expire or something happen to the registrar?

.tk domains are not good for your website. These are free available domains and only work as a redirect. You can redirect them to any of your website using dot.tk.

u can use .tk domains with DNS now dude.

it used to be only offering redirection for free domains,
but now they also offer DNS service for the free domains as well

although the tokelau island domain is worth nothing, but hey, it is a free TLD,
good for toying around with it

.tks aren't really recommended; there usually associated with spam and malicious sites. At least with my experience with them. You can get .infos for 99 cents some places, might as well spend a little but if your serious about it, otherwise .tks are great

Well, i think if you're running a business or promotional website then .tk is not an option, or any other TLD. It should be a .com, .net, or any of the more popular TLDs.

.tk should be reserved only to personal websites. Hope i didn't hurt anyone here.

Yep, even if you have your own DNS control with dot tk, it looks very unprofessional.
