Time for sun and coconuts!

Oh yes, that sweet one week a year that I take for vacation is around the corner! Sun, sand and coconuts - few things can beat that. And boy will I enjoy sleep after being sleep deprived especially during the past couple of weeks! :tired:

I am heading off to Turks and Caicos in the Caribbean area on November 19th and reporting back to duties on the 27th. So, my well behaved friends, take care of the house while I am away and don't hate me for actually taking a vacation!! Remember that you can, too. You just need to force yourself to get away from that monitor and stop worrying about your clients (who will be just fine by the way). :D

Sorry, I couldn't help to share! Too excited. :bouncy:

Cheers,
Artashes

Well I have never been there, so I can't say, but T&C is definitely known for great beaches. I've already visited Cuba twice, Dominican Republic. I hope to explore the Caribbean region in years go come. :)

My next stop would be Antigua or Anguilla.

My Fiance and I went to the Caribbean this September, nothing tops white sand beaches, crystal clear water and bars every fifteen feet. Have a great time!

I want to go to the Carribean at some point, let us know how you get on :)

Oh also enjoy a computer-free week! :D

Yeap, it can make a really good vacation if the weather is good (no hurrican that is - and September is still considered to be a hurrican season) and if insects keep distance from you. Both last tmes I went it was right after the hurricanes and I still had a good and memorable time.

The fact that amazes me most about being on the beach is how it relaxes you mentally as it makes you unable to actually be in a "work" mode. I just can't seem to be able to concentrate and do some minor work there.

Thanks, I will definitely share my experience upon return.

Laugh while you still can, bachelor Art. I can tell you one thing. One day you (too) will be assimilated. Resistance is futile. :cyborg:

What?! No cyborg smiley? :D

Hiya, everyone. I am back and I am not in the best mood. Thanks to heavy U.S. air traffic, 2 missed connection flights, lost baggage, I am back to work 2 days later. On top of that, the vacation wasn't all that and I probably won't repeat my trip to Turks and Caicos again, at least not in the near future.

Anyways, what's been cooking?

Sorry to hear it. Can you give us more details on that though, so we may learn from your experience? (Not that I imagine going to those places anytime soon myself.)

Hi Art,

Wow that sucks!

I hope you get your baggage back soon!.

What were the good points about the holiday?

The good points about a holiday for me are: the company I am with, sun, beach, ocean water, food (fruits). The beach wasn't equipped well (too few umbrellas), it was very windy every day (although that's a season thing), but you wouldn't want to get cold on the beach either way... the food was good in this ClubMed, but according to many people other resorts are much better. Even though we had 2-3 rainy days, we got enough of sun exposure, and fot that I am greatful. The water was colder than anywhere else I've been in the caribbean region.

Best,
