Burlington, Massachusetts - (The Hosting News) - December 19, 2006 - Server virtualization and automation software company, SWsoft, has expanded its joint development and marketing relationship with storage management software firm, Acronis, Inc.Acronis will provide OEM versions of its True Image Server for Linux and Windows, to work with SWsoft's Plesk 8.1 control panel software. The stand-alone solution, which also works with other control panels, enables service providers to offer back-up and recovery capabilities with dedicated hosting packages. Two versions of the software will be available exclusively through SWsoft. Acronis True Image Light provides basic system protection and recovery of servers with minimal downtime, while Acronis True Image Pro is a comprehensive version that gives service providers more protection and functionality including remote back-ups, incremental back-ups, high compression capability, back-up sharing across networks, among other features.Serguei Beloussov, CEO of the Herndon, VA-based SWsoft explained, ''Acronis and SWsoft have a long history of working together to deliver comprehensive, high-performance software solutions for the hosting industry.
