Herndon, Virginia - (The Hosting News) - June 1, 2007 - Server virtualization firm, SWsoft, has opened its first office in Paris, France, with additional staff in Benelux and Eastern Europe, to respond to the increasing demand for its Virtuozzo virtualization software and attract more customers for web hosting products.

SWsoft is also hiring additional staff in Benelux (Belgium, The Netherlands and Luxembourg) and Eastern Europe. The new employees will add local market experience and speak the native languages, while operating from SWsoft's European headquarters in Darmstadt, Germany.

Soeren von Varchmin, Managing Director of European and Asian Operations at SWsoft remarked, ''France is a key market for our success in Europe. From now on, we will be able to serve our French customers with comprehensive local consulting and support. I am convinced that the proximity to customers will be well received in the French market. Furthermore, our new staff from Benelux and Eastern Europe will strengthen our presence and credibility in those markets.''

SWsoft's Paris office launched with three employees and is centrally located within the prominent 9th arrondissement, close to the Paris Opéra. The office is responsible for customers such as AMEN, one of the largest web hosters in France.

Eric Sansonny, Director of Sales and Marketing at AMEN S.A.S. added, ''For several years now, we've been using SWsoft products for important parts of the IT infrastructure of our hosting offerings. Although our direct contact with SWsoft has always been excellent, we are very pleased with the new office in France. The local support team with specific know-how on the special requirements of the French market will further strengthen our relationship with SWsoft.''

Recently, in the first quarter of 2007, SWsoft reported revenue growth of more than 140 percent over the first quarter of 2006, surpassing its previous rate of 134 percent for 2006 overall. The company's virtualization revenue grew by more than 600 percent during Q1 2007 as compared to Q1 2006. The company also continues to enjoy strong quarter-to-quarter sequential growth. Virtualization products now account for a larger portion of SWsoft revenues with virtualization software growth a reflection of accelerating industry demand. SWsoft estimates that more than 50 of the top Fortune 500 companies now use Virtuozzo software. Current customers include arvato mobile, Association of American Medical Colleges, Cox Communications and Murphy Oil Corporation.

The company's virtualization products include Virtuozzo, which provides operating system server virtualization, as well as desktop virtual machine software from Parallels. The company plans to introduce a server version of its Parallels product in 2007. SWsoft also develops and markets a complete set of automation products with rapidly-growing sales on the Microsoft Windows platform.

The company believes that new partnerships have helped to increase momentum, and adoption of OS virtualization.
Several leading technology companies joined with SWsoft to help drive adoption of operating system virtualization in the data center, including:

- An agreement with Microsoft helps provide support for customers running Virtuozzo for Windows Server software.
- An agreement with Novell to ship Virtuozzo in a bundle with Novell's SUSE Linux Enterprise software.
- SWsoft joined the HP ProLiant Partner Program and the two companies validated software running on HP ProLiant servers.

Parallels desktop virtualization continues to acquire customers and industry accolades as a desktop virtualization software. Parallels Desktop for Mac is one of the fastest selling titles for Mac and has received numerous awards, including:
