San Francisco, California - (The Hosting News) - July 17, 2007 - IT data center log search engine, Splunk, has exceeded its second quarter sales forecast by 38 percent, and is at 50 percent of its forecast for the year, according to financial results revealed for its fiscal 2007 report, ending June 30, 2007.
During the quarter, Splunk added 94 new customers and upgraded 17 existing customers to higher data indexing levels, bringing the total number of paying customers to 340. New customers include Barnes and Noble, Bridgestone, Catholic Healthcare West, Chevron, Ericsson, Honeywell, Lockheed Martin, BT Radianz, Magellan Health Services, Mapquest, Ratheon, R.R. Donnelley and Sons, Quest Communications, Telecom New Zealand, U.S. Department of Justice, Verizon Business, and Vodafone. The company also crossed the 100,000 user download mark, a major milestone after only 18 months.
The Splunk Powered partner program has seen continued growth as well. Three new OEM partners, Netcordia, TriGEO and Uptime Software, have joined the Splunk family in Q2, bringing the total ecosystem to more than 30 OEM, VAR and SI partners.
