The appointment of Colo-X as a LINX Partner, is anticipated to provide a valuable benefit to members looking for suitable colocation space in London or across the UK as a whole. The Internet traffic at LINX consists of website downloads, business information and e-mails. One gigabit is equivalent to approximately 60,000 average email messages. Peak traffic at LINX accommodates more than 10 million email messages per second.Connection of Internet networks at an IXP such as LINX is known as 'peering.' LINX offers members the option of establishing private one-to-one peering between networks and/or 'public peering' where traffic can potentially be exchanged with any other member linked to the exchange.
