Syfonic.com Hosting (Syfonic Hosting) steals and spams?

Just came across Syfonic.com hosting - another hosting provider that chooses to spam other boards and communities hoping to gain some clients off such practice.

I detest spammers, especially those in the hosting industry, but I gave in and decided to visit the site to actually see who is behind this circus. I could not believe my eyes. Not only do they spam, but they steal as well. But don't let me tell how it is - see for yourself and decide:

I have seen design and content rips before, but not to this degree.

Its priceless to see "© Syfonic Hosting 2009. All Rights Reserved."

I alerted the last known contact I had with JustHost.com.

So, are they the same company or one is reseller of the other?

Neither. Seeing how JustHost.com does not provide reseller hosting (and clearly it can't be the same company because the names differ), I'd assume the other one decided to just take what's not theirs. Why? Because it actually requires effort to build your own infrastructure, your site and your marketing strategy.

Justhost runs a number of "top hosts" sites where it lists itself. Some of their marketing techniques are quite questionable, so it is funny in a way to see this.

While I don't like top lists and "review" sites as well, they are not forcing anyone to sign up with them. Their marketing techniques might be a little strange to some people (genius to others perhaps), it does not make it alright for someone to steal from them.

Agreed, but there's always an irony in these situations. Kinda' like a thief getting robbed.

they are not forcing anyone to sign up with them.
Forcing maybe not, but there are other nasty words that would describe what they do. :)

Steve, yesterday when I attempted to close the tab in Firefox, there were popups begging me to sign up.

Today, they seemed to have disappeared. Very weird.

I don't like those myself, but many companies choose to use that trick.
But I tried to chat and it was actually scripted - I asked a couple of questions, but it kept feeding the same scripted answers, even though it appeared that I was talking to a live person. That was not cool.

Just think of yourself this copycat domain was created on 1 July 2009 and Justhost is old company. As surgematrix said above is a matter of laughing. He must be from the same copycat company or he is unable to understand these things.
