Sorry for putting it hear, wanted everybody to see it. Please move to the Programming section.

Ok, this program will allow you to backup one mysql database and the entire contents of your web site to a remote server. This program runs at the user level so not having root access will work.

To use: run the php script in the browser and make sure the directory you installed it to had read and write access. 777 should be ok

Will be testing this out later.
Is it secure to use?Ie. no-one will be able to access the file in anyway and upload the files/database to their server?Or even get access to the db password?

Just make the install directory something secure. You could place a .htaccess in the directory where you execute the program. This way the download will be stored in a secure directory requiring a username and password to access.

Sorry I didnt get a chance, I was away in another city for the whole weekend and really havent been feeling well today so I wont be doing much today, thinking of going back to bed again in a sec.

I think I will install it after the site is changed to the new domain, will put it under that account then. Might even install tomorrow just to test before the site goes live though
