September 26, 2007 – Pittsburgh PA –
avidInteractive Productions, LLC has announced the release of ServeraSuite 2007 v1.1.0, with a list of new features, planned features and fixes to problems that plagued previous versions of the software.
Work on the new version of ServeraSuite started in late August, after a lot of feedback from current avidInteractive Software customers in regards to what they wanted to see in a future release of the award winning server monitoring software.
At the top of the feedback list was a fix for the SSH components that allowed for rebooting services and servers from ServeraSuite, and also used to obtain real-time server load statistics.
avidInteractive not only worked hard to fix this issue, but announced some new features, and some redesign to the application as well.
While special attention was given to the ability to restart servers and services, great attention was given to the way ServeraSuite notifies server administrators of server issues.
In addition to the task tray notification popup being completely redesigned, ServeraSuite now has multi-level tiered email notification, replacing the standard email notification that initially shipped with the application. ServeraSuite now also includes the ability to choose the sounds used for popup notification, or to turn off popup notification and email notification completely.
According to avidInteractive Productions, LLC, there are future features already in development for ServeraSuite, including Messaging between admin and staff, automated restarting of servers and services on failed checks, server information snapshots, as well as some other advanced features designed to make server monitoring and administration a lot easier.
