Well yes it can depend on it but, the more your name is out there the higher your PR will be. Posting about your organization will allow others to see it. But PR is determined by how many times your company will be seen on the web. Mentioning your company somewhere on your post will aslo give you an index on this for the major search engines which will aslo help your PR go up.

Mentioning alone is not helping when it comes to PageRank. It's all about links pointing to your website/page.
