1. Title Tag: Title tags are HTML elements found in the <head> section
This is the most important and powerful Tag for SEO. They appear in search engine results, Social media posts, unfurled chat messages and browser tabs. Search bots first and foremost looks in the title tag to determine the relevancy of the page as a result in the search query
What should be followed:
• Length: Keep it short but it should precisely say what your web page is offering. Should be 50-60 characters in length.
• Avoid cringy content: Like all in uppercase or using smiles
• Utilize your brand: Consider having your brand name in the title tag
If google does not like your Title it might change it during search and in most cases, you will not like it.
2. Meta Description: This is the description that search engines display under the title in search results. It is the <meta name="description" content=" "> tag in the head section.
What should be followed:
• Length: Should be between 70-160 characters space including.
• Content: Should provide a concise description of all your content in the web page
• Unique: Should be unique for each web page. Otherwise google might mark pages as duplicates and will not index them.
3. Keyword: Although you can have the <meta name="keywords" content=" " /> tag, but using the right key word in even the title and description can do wonders.
What should be followed:
• Do not repeat keywords: Google can easily detect unnecessary repetition of keywords and this can result to de-ranking.
• Do not use stop words like AND, BUT, SO, WAS, WITH.
• Use action words like GET, TAKE, BOOST, LEARN, MAKE, GO.
• Check for keywords that your competitors are using
