Selling hosting on ebay

I'll give it some very thoughtful... thought. IMO, it looks unprofessional.

ditto (apart from the E.T bit). hosting companies that sell hosting on Ebay look taky and have the "fallen off the back of a lorry" type effect. Also (to me) looks like there not willing to pay for decent advertising.

Just my $0.02

I agree with u guys i just wanted 2 know ur view, i know a guy who bought some hosting off a donhost reseller on there
A better way to advertise your services for cheap is to target the local press. Its easy peasy and keeps your companies dignity ;)
(try the informer if you have it in your area).

Other thought is having a stall at some sort of computer fair, take a PC and a modem, some leaflets and have a facility to signup there and then.

My advertising budget goes on chalk

I write on the footpaths in the morning (my url and a quick message and a smiley)
by the end of the day I have local hits -- and that's just what I want, that's where my little jobs come from

it's cheap and doesn't litter :D

Lol- would try that in London...... but I would prob be arrested :S

also, most 'ebayers' seem to offer unblievable things, like 5 gig space, and 100gig bandwidth..for £33 a year. THis was an actual auction..and the buyout price was £33
