Reseller web hosting providers?

Do you know any rules how to check reseller web hosting companies? I consider resellerpane.com, hostww.net and hostgator.com.
What are pitfalls in web hosting reseller business at all?

One of the most important things when it comes to reseller hosting providers, is their experience -- a time tested business model. Plenty of hosts started out with low pricing, got a good reputation, which they lost within the year as the servers ended up chronically overloaded.

Personally, I suggest relying on well moderated forums to find customer reviews, and judge hosts.

From the hosts you've mentioned, I've used Hostgator, but only their shared hosting. I found it pretty good, and I've used them for years. You need to be aware that overselling is disabled on their reseller hosting packages. Some resellers find this not to their liking.
 
Depend on the sincerity of the company. Most of the company is actually run by a single person but with good performance and maintenance. So problem with the background, the most import is the stability of the server.
 
generally read reviews and try to contact potential companies to see what type of response time you would get. Support is key and making sure a knowledgeable staff member is ready to help you when you need it is essential.
 
since we are on the topic of choosing a reseller, i'd like to know if anyone here has carried out any business with resellerclub. i have been doin a bit of research on em and they seem to have their ups and downs, but wat fascinates me is their pricing. currently they have some offer goin on which to me seems like the best pricing availabe by a reseller program. then again i have little experience when it comes to comparing prices with my limited knowledge on the industry in terms of resellers, hence my post here :)
 
I think that Hatchling package from Hostgator.com looks pretty good, as well as NetBasic package from Hostww.net.
How much bandwidth and disk space do you intend to go for?
 
Any web hosting company ghas experience in the sphere. In this case you can check how good the company you are looking at is.
Every web mastedк has own strategy ho to check. You can learn all and decide which one will be the best for you.

They seem to be more experienced then even Hostgator.
Is that the main thing while consideration?
 
It is a very important thing, but you can't make length of experience as the most important criterion. After all, a 10 years old company is not going to be necessarily better than an 8 years old company. As I said before, you need to look for customer reviews too. Plenty of companies have been around for years despite their bad reputation. :)

How long Utropicmedia.com have they been in business?
It's very likely they have been reselling from some company as well.
The range of theri datacenters location is really impressive, I'd say.

If I'm not mistaken UtropicMedia.net has registered their domain in 2000. 8 years of providing their services - sounds impressive.
Any discounts on them?
 
I have learn and hearing many times that Gator Host is over seller!

Most likely so, i have been a ex-customer of their, and their servers were slow, after already using 10GB+ space oftheirs, they already complained...
 
I would recommend ************ as a quality provider for the reselling. Reputable company with great support and attractive prices... Just look up if you are not decided yet.
