1. hi friends i am new to hosting market please refer me what are the set of requirement
shall i have to start my hosting. :confused:

2. What is traffic in website?
How this come to know we have traffic in our website.

3. what are different ways to upload a files to website ?
i heard file zilla ftp, is their any other techniques to upload multimedia files to sites?

4. How can i flush dns or ip cache for my clients in Linux (ubuntu)?

5. What is vps technology ?
how it works and how its differ from normal traditional server?

VPS is a Virtual Private server which is created by installing any virtualization application on the main Physical server. The server is virtualized and multiple Virtual servers are created on it. VPS has all the features/privileges of a Dedicated server like Root access, freedom to install any 3rd party application. Its a cost effective solution compared to Dedicated server, so its preferrd by users who are looking for a cost effective solution.

Business Plan

Capital, enough to cover your expenses for a year

Registered business entity

Business bank account

Payment processors

WHMCS or equivalent

Linux, Control Panel, and etc skills

Server, collocated or leased for at least a year with control panel licenses paid for
or
A quality, non oversold reseller account paid for at least a year

This would cover shared hosting. There would be more requirements for selling vps containers and etc.

Requirements means your RAM, Space and Bandwidth requirements. You need to select a appropriate hosting plan depending upon your requirements so that you can host your website without any interruption.

Also now that I have seen your other posts I strongly advise you not to start in a hosting venture.

Virtual Private Servers (VPS) also allow for easy migration and backup of the vps. You can move a whole VPS from one server to the next when need to and gives you options to also expand the size and resources of the VPS when needed.

This is a very broad question. Hosting covers so much today. Dedicated, VPS, Cloud, Shared, Managed, etc.... You really need to sit down and figure out what services you are planning to provide. Then from there start your research on that market and start building a business plan and model of what you plan to accomplish. Good luck to you!

You want to start a hosting business but

first i would suggest you find a organisation that can teach you what a business is and how to run a business before you even think or starting any business

It is called virtualization and you should find more about it in computer wikis or in Wikipedia. There are different approaches to virtualization and different virtualization technologies! It depends what do you need? I would suggest you to spend some time reading about virtualization.

Google Analytics is what we use for the majority of time for traffic, demographics and tracking. From the time a visitor gets to the site, to the time they get to the final page on checkout - everything is tracked and Goals and Events are tagged and marked. Makes it an ideal solution when you're figuring out your marketing plans for the next month and analyzing your sales funel within the site.

Traffic in website means how many people visit your websites.

To know traffic to your website, you can either use of the following:

1. AWstats
2. Webalizer
3. Google Analytics

But I prefer to use google analytics as it has detailed information, per country, bounces, etc.. also nice graphs.

Hello,

You can use FTP, there are many ftp clients out there but, you can use filezilla or WSFTP PRO.

You can also use webDav, if you have Cpanel, you can configure it.

Or just plainly use your CPanel to upload files.
