RegisterFly lack of support problems

I'm new here but have been reading the posts for the past few days.

I signed up with ResellerPanel about 10 days ago and must say I have had no problems with them whatsoever. Support is quick and efficient and I'm very impressed with them.

However, I can't say the same about RegisterFly. On the recommendations of some of you here I signed up with RegisterFly for domain registrations and for their many other packages that they have available.

Most of the time Live Chat has been helpful BUT I had one question that no-one seems to be able to answer. No-one on Live Chat knows what the answer is and I was advised to contact Matt at flysupport which I did this morning at 11:30 a.m. Now I know they state that answers to email questions can take up to 48 hours but my question is so simple (well I think it is) that surely Live Chat could answer it?

My question? I wanted to know if they had a money-back guarantee. Most firms I have checked out seem to have a 10-day, 15-day or 30-day money-back guarantee. Apparently, RegisterFly do not have one implemented and I was told that accounts could only be cancelled for certain reasons. When I asked what these certain reasons were I was then told to contact Matt.

Did I ask the wrong question and they didn't understand what I was trying to say?

Does anyone here know what their policies are on this? I don't want to start promoting their services then find out that if my clients are not satisfied with their services they can't get their money back.

Any help with this will be very much appreciated.

Thanks.

Well, I got my answer and I don't think I'll be using them.

Here is their policy on account cancellations, hope it's ok to post this here?

1) - If you face any downtime in first 15-30 days then you can request for the
refund.

2) - If the server goes down and does not turn up within 1 to 3 hours then you
can ask for refund ( First 15-30 days )

3) - All products are standard and approved by specialists and our 0.3 million
clients are satisfied with it so there will be NO refunds for not liking.

Take care

Well, well, well.

I decided to give RegisterFly another chance to answer my email (just because I'm a glutton for punishment) but this was more in regards to the domain reseller account I set up with them before I checked out their other services.

I sent a message to feedback@unifiednames.com instead of support@registerflysupport.com and received a reply within minutes.

So although their web hosting side of things may leave something to be desired their domain selling *might* be ok.

I'll see what happens. ;-)

Unifiednames.com?
That is the address that NameCheap uses for Paypal transactions.

I've never had a problem with NameCheap but I've heard many nightmare stories about registerfly.

Go figure.

Hi Blue,

I still have my reservations about RegisterFly after the awful treatment I got from them last week and I'm still looking around for a domain reseller.

In fact, I just played dumb and asked them outright, "How come when I send a message to partners@registerfly.com I get no reply whatsoever but when I send a message to you via feedback@unifiednames.com you answer right away?" It was the only message I wrote to feedback@unifiednames.com that I didn't receive a reply too. <grin>

What I'm really looking for is a domain reseller where I can purchase a domain when needed, I don't need to order masses of domains because it's basically for my web design business. So I don't want to outlay a lot of money to get started like Enom and RegisterFly 'seemed' to be the ideal solution. <cough, cough>

RegisterFly are spammers! We moved some domains
from RegisterFly 2+ years ago but they continue to send
us SPAM although I asked them to stop it!
I dislike spammers!
Better try with different registrar (Free ENOM account,
Planet Domain, Directi etc.).

With NameCheap I never had problems!

You can get a FREE account with Enom? How? I've checked their site but all I seem to see are places to sign up for their 'deposit' accounts.

Back to RegisterFly (ok cringe <grin>) I finally got a reply to my message about their email addresseses and here is what they said:

"This is a constant source of confusion. We have 2 email addresses one if
sales@registerflysupport.com which is for all sales, partner related
inquries. support@registerflysupport.com for all other inquiries. Normally
our response times for emails are between 1 and 4 hours depending on the
nature of the issue. We also have over 110 people worldwide in customer
support so we have plenty of qualified staff available around the clock."

If that's the case why was I told to contact partners@registerfly.com? And why cause so much confusion? Make it clear on the site where we should send our inquries. Geez!

I've checked out Namecheap and I like what I see. But I have a few questions (can't you tell I'm new to this?)

1. Would each of my clients have to sign up for an account for them to register their domain?

2. Would I set up an account with them and then register the domains for my clients and have my clients pay me direct?

3. Or do they have a form I can place on my website that will allow my clients to register their own domain through Namecheap?

You guys have been a great help. Thanks.

We were with registerfly about a year ago and found their tech support was horrible. Any simple changes we requested would take a while to go through. At the same time, they were also suggested to us as we were told they were quick to respond to things, but I guss it was shortly after we signed up their support slipped and went downhill.

Yes, it's not difficulty to find Free $8.95 Enom reseller account. :)
Of course you must fill your account with $100 to use RR but
it's only prepayment.

yes i found registerfly slipping with there support and I had to wait ages to talk to a live person.

Albeit an old thread, I wanted to post in here anyway:

I had the opportunity to speak and work with the owner of this company (UnifiedNames.com). I can say that they have been ramping up on their support quality by bringing staff in-house as opposed to outsourcing it.

However, their business model is ridiculous and they oversell and overstuff servers (trust me).

Niyogi,

I have several small websites with RegisterFly and use their free FlyServers.com (25MB) websites; these can be accessed using A records with the corresponding domain so they all turn up nice in Google etc.

Since november last year this system broke down and all they tell me is to "please use redirect for now" without me specifically asking about when this is going to be fixed. I'm surprised to hear it's actual people answer support tickets; it appears to be some kind of automated system replying to certain keywords.
