Record snowfall since 1941

Montreal has been immobilized since Friday when a record snowfall of up to 23 inches (60 sm) in some locations has fallen during few hours of time. As much as its a cool experience to drive, the cleaning part was a little exhausting.

We have a long driveway, thus every time the snow comes down, its pretty much impossible to get out without the help of gardeners. I usually clean up only the area by the garage and front stairs. What are your usual routines during the snowfall?

So telling the truck drivers to move all the snow away in the direction of PEI was a bad idea? :mic:
 
I usually hit our large snowfalls in 2 jobs. The first around 5:30-6:00, and the other around 7 if needed so I can get in by 8AM.

But if we had that much snow, 23inches, I'd pry just take a day off :)
 
I just do it all with my snowblower once or twice. The only problem is when the plows plow all the snow from the road onto my driveway...thats where it gets big. Definately a pain though, especially 2 feet.
 
I want some snow... 10-15cm would be more than enough. Christmas without snow isn't be 100% of what it can be. :(
 
How about the -10F and -20F weather we've been having with the snow Dan. I'll send you snow but you get those two too! My car hasn't had a problem starting yet, but all the busses are on diesel - and they've been running late the past couple days because they can't get warmed up in time.

That would be nearly impossible. I don't think there's ever been that cold around where I live. So just give me that snow, all right? :P :D
 
Maybe you'll just have to take a trip to the western world Dan and play in the snow. Then you get the snow, but don't have to deal with the cold all the time. :)
 
I got pulled away, but I wanted to add that you'd take the trip so you could meetup with all your HD buddies too and we could have a big snowball fight.

Wanted to ask ya Art, how's the snow? Is any of it melting away, any more added?

They are still cleaning up Montreal, but it started to snow heavy again about an hour ago.
