Recommendation of a good domain provider

TravisBMA

Host Extraordinaire
Hey Guys,

Today I must post my recommendation of an excellent domain provider. I'd like to recommend domaindiscount24.com. Not only do they have an excellent service but they recently added instant DNS. What I mean is, when you register a domain or change nameservers, these changes occur immediatly.

This is an excellent domain registrar, and I hope you check them out. Also do leave your feedback about them, as Im curious to hear others opinions.

Thank you. But they are not just domain registar but also a web hosting provider.... and their prices are not low at all.

A single com, net, org domains costs about $16 so why do you think they are excellent?

Are they owned by the same company that owns SuSe? The lizard in their logo looks the same

Best Regards
Dimitar

I use Dotster. They are not the cheapest but far from being the most expensive. I bought a new domain last week, assigned it to my name servers and almost immediately I could access the "under construction" page I had set up on the newly created site on the web server. And I especially like that all my domains are listed all together. A previous domain name provider I used ... each domain had its own account. Which was OK (I guess) as long as I could remember all the domains I owned.

Dotster is so much easier for me. I've heard good things about GoDaddy (from people who use them) ... I just haven't gotten up the guts to try them myself ;)

Take care
Peter

Hello,

thanks for sharing the information with us. Why don't you suggest for IcANN accreditation which will add more weightage to your domain registrar and which should give them returns.

Thank you.

Regards,

I use Registerfly and haven't had any problems with them. A friend of mine introduced me to them and have been using it ever since. Although I wouldn't prefer them for SSL Certificate, it doesn't seem to be recognized correctly. Domains would be the only thing I will ever use them for.

Instead, I think OnlineNic.com is the best. we use them to resell the domain services on our website. their DNS also affects immediately and the prices are great.

For me...

My business and majority of my domains: eNom
Domains I own but don't want to be associated with: Namecheap (Free whoisguard in first year, $2.88 after that each year to renew)

I used to use directi before they changed all the pricing and stuff about, ended up moving to eNom as I couldn't be bothered with the focus on everything else (hosting, live chat etc...)

Personally, I don't like Registerfly - tend to mess up renewals and things go wrong. That and the fact they kept spamming me and it took about 3 months for someone to finally resolve it.

If you have 10+ domains to register, renew or transfer each year; an eNom reseller account can really be worth it in the long-run. Otherwise, namecheap are good at $8.88 per domain per year.

OnlineNic offers pricing for .com/.net/.org from $6.69 to $7.69 on different funds... setting up a reseller with them is FREE of course. We have registered more than 100 domains with them till yet.

i think ***********

the best domain and upcoming registrar is ***********.com , i am using his services and really satisfied. you get $105 value products free with every domain name. I think just visit there once and see the difference, what else , how i can help you?

Do you own "***********.com" because it is a reseller of GoDaddy. :smash:

Personally I like DomainSite.com, they don't have the best design -- but they are simple, affordable, and they do have a great admin control panel to handle bulk domain names. Been using them for almost 3-4 years now without any issue.

I fond of Directnic; though not the cheapest of the market you know your not going to run into any problems with them any time soon (hopefully) :)

Onlinenic is the worst - stay away from it.
I setup a new account and shortly after their server crashed.
When I login I now get domains missing name servers, one domain is missing all info, one domain is listed twice and All my contact info / default name servers is gone.

Four weeks have gone by with no results from many emails sent to their tech support.
One jerk asked me if I knew what the name servers were.

Imagine you have sold 500 domains and now all your domains show up with no owner info or name servers.

I can most likely edit each domain and get the proper info from whois to replace the missing info in their database but this is something I should have to do.
This system is 100% not reliable.

I'm moving on to another service since I do like to sleep at night.

Personally, my favourite domain name host is GoDaddy. I find their control panel easy to use, have had no problems with their customer service and find their prices to be very reasonable. I used Yahoo in the past, and had a couple of negative experiences, but have been using GoDaddy for a couple of years without any issues.
