I know that the holidays are over and most thing of winter weather as great around the holidays, but you know what is not great? Snow and ice and sleet on my first 3 day weekend in the longest time. They closed all sorts of shops down today, HOURS early just because they could (lame). You know whats worse, those silly sites that make that dumb snow fall effect on their site, it bogs junk down (no offense for anyone that has done this, I am just so tired of any snow right now). :D

:) I'm with you on both the effects and time wasters such as forced flash intros etc.

As for snow - we've had it on the ground since mid december. First snow actually in September time! There's still a few feet of snow on the ground - roads, while now clear, are still piled up on the sides with snow and making a turn at a stop sign is next to impossible as the city likes to make the HUGE piles (8-15 feet) on the corners making all corners a blind corner!

I like a nice light dusting of snow at christmas - make things nice and white etc, but hten after that, it needs to just go away! ;)

The UK seems to be a tad on the pathetic side with the heavy snowy weather; we had a literal 2 day standstill almost as motorways (interconnecting the cites) where unusable unless you intended to sign your own death certificate before you set out or have a 4x4 and a brain (many unfortunately don't)

Put a 2 day deliver delay "Adverse Weather" on my desktop that arrived on the 16th last month, though we practically only had possibly 12" here ... causes complete turmoil... nice when you don't have work or travel commitments.

I was on the third day going to drive the 1h to Bristol (from Swindon) in my Land Rover Defender to collect the PC as they refused to deliver the day before :P

I remember flying from Boston to Heathrow a few years ago and my flight in Boston was delayed overnight as London had received 1" of snow and the runways were closed. Everything came to a standstill and it was awful as I was only going to be there for 3 days. It turned my 3 day visit into a 1 day visit by the time I got there!

Maybe the courier service needs to invest in some Land Rovers - they go almost everywhere :)

Snow?! I don't really hate it, but my preference is sunshine and sandy beaches. I was actually outside in a tee shirt today working on one of my sheds. Just one more month of winter and we slide into Spring. :D

Snowing curretnly - although they say only 1" should fall before 2pm (it's 10am right now) - and then no more snow until Saturday! ;)

I'll take shorts and a tanktop any day! Waiting on a warm day so I can take my notebook, my cigars, a bottle of Miller Chill and go park myself on the back deck ;)
