PowWeb in search trouble?

Not sure if the same result happens for the rest but... I was just making a search for "PowWeb" on Google. A pretty well-known recognized company (more like a brand today), wouldn't you say? But to my surprise, the official PowWeb.com web site comes only on the 5th page in search results!! I am stunned. What could possibly be the source of that problem?

My guess is an attractive PowWeb affiliate program that sparked creation of hundreds of web sites built specifically for the purpose of gaining commission on sales. The result is PowWeb competing with these sites.

Now PowWeb is forced to buy text ads to stay on top of search results (sponsored ones) for someone searching for "powweb" keyword on Google. And its not like "powweb" is a dictionary word used routinely.

Your own success can turn out to be negative. It's weird though, for such company to be ranked outside the top ... at google.

I was surprised too just the other day when I didn't find them at the top of that search query. Personally, I think it's a Google booboo, that will be corrected in time, or a side effect of that redirect that www.Powweb.com uses.
