phpBB2: It's awesome!

After like many, many hours of testing various bulletin board scripts, I've finally made a decsion upon phpBB.

When I first started using it, the main thing I had disliked about it was that boring old design. Heh. Little was I aware of the really cool templates on their site :: yea, it took me awhile to figure that out ::. I'm using their Icicle and phpVB2 (once I get a logo for it) templates. The two are great. Check out the boards at Tek Studios: <a href='http://discussions.tek-studios.net' target='_blank'>http://discussions.tek-studios.net</a>. :D

From a coders point of view its a tad bloated which may have problems for you later on.

A friends site of mine got hacked the other day through it as well so make sure u remove /db/schmas, install.php and so on :)

Cant dis the skins though :)

I use it on world-forums.co.uk but plan to move to IB Forum soon.

I like IB too, it's just that at the moment, there aren't many skins available. I get bored looking at the same lame skin afterawhile.

well as you can see this board is phpbbv2 with the blue silver template, we used to use invisionboard but lost the database so decided to move to a board that can back up its database.
The only thing i find annoying an it could actually be a cookie problem, is that when you see the board it shows you the new posts in all the forums, when you read one post and then go back to the main forum its not showing you the new posts anymore

Kevin i just found the answer to our problem, if you open IE outside of AOL then it will show you all the new posts until you have read them all, the problem with aol is something to do with their dynamic ip's
