PHP 5 and PHP 4

**********.com offers both PHP 5 and PHP 4 but I'd like to know what is the difference between them?
Can anybody explain it to me?

PHP 4 devolopment has ceased.

These are just two versions of a programming language. Nothing to explain. PHP5 would be more advanced of course.
