Photoshop..

I am new to photoshop, never used it much but decided to try it out today, I've had it for a LONG time just never installed it.. anyway.. I had to do a project for Design class in school, so I tried Photoshop and came up with this.. what do you think?

I like that. Only one thing: The kind of ripped effect between the top and the bottom looks really paint-like (ms paint) and would look better being smoother like the effect around the top picture (all inclusive one)
 
Yeah, like I said, I am like brand new to photoshop, and thats pretty much all I know how to do for now.. hopefully in the future I will find some good tutorials and have the time to learn it :)
