Ok, I just opened a Newspaper and an article said: "What is Britain Known for?"
And the ones foreign countries said were:

  • The Queen
  • Heavy Drinkers
  • The Largest Teen Pregnancies in the World
  • The Invention of the first Child Thong
  • The Famous British Yorkshire Accent
  • Our Strange words including "Dodgy, Poxy, Didums'

I'm now offended :smash: I would have liked to have seen people who are well known for in this article:

  • Simon Fuller - The British man who started the IDOL Series with the first ever POP Idol in the UK.
  • Alfred Hitchcock - The British born-man who has made 57 Films which includes the Classic 1960's 'Psycho'
  • Tim Berners-Lee - The Brittan who invented the World Wide Web
  • Renowned Music Artists which include: The Beatles, Take That, The Spice Girls and more.

I actually traveled to London (and Brighton - lived for a few weeks) in 1991. Gorgeous place and the one I once dream of owning real estate in.
When it comes to what UK is famous for, my association comes to the following:
- creators of best sports: tennis, golf, soccer.
- history
- cabs and traffic laws are different
- traditions

Now I can repair your Arm ;).

Brighton is nice but recently there has been some strange criminal activity. One incident in which included a rapist who rapes his victims; apologises and walks them home.

- cabs and traffic laws are different
Yes in Britain Cabs or 'Taxi's' are private owned companies and are extremely expensive and tend to be on used for late night pickups when the Bus Company First Group sleeps. Haven’t seen Canada/US use Double Decker bus's as a day to day operation like we do.

Traffic Laws - Not much different except we drive on the opposite side. Instead of Highway its Motorway, Petrol Prices is roughly 83.5p per litre / $ 1.50 USD per litre.

- traditions
Now that's what I thought North America is known for what kind of traditions are you referring too?

Hunting, having oatmeal in the morning, late night dinners, horseback riding, high tea parties, newspaper reading, gorgeous gardens, traditional sports playing.

In 1991, I was 10 years old. My father back then worked with a large UK company (some industrial stuff for export), so his partner (he hold a status of a Lord - don't remember that for sure) owned a huge ranch (acres and acres of land) in Brighton where my sister and I went to live for holidays for about 2 weeks. We've had so much fun! We took care of a couple of his horses, played games (archery is one of them), cycling around, fed his Scotish cows, etc. You can guess how fun it was for a couple of 10-year old kids out of Soviet Union...

Btw, it is when I was in London the collapse of Soviet Union happened.

So I opened the paper today and lets see...

Page 3 Girl in The Sun [No Suprise]
Celebrity Big Brother
* Train prices are 3x more in the UK than the rest of Europe
* They want to increase your council tax if you renovate your home
* British Citizens has one of the largest debt in the world

And people want to come to the UK as tourists? Weirdo's.
