Open-Source Educational Software

Is there any open-source educational software out there? I would like to create a program that teaches Esperanto. I'll use it mainly for myself by having it ask me questions that I have to answer. But I don't know how to program one so I thought I would look at someone else's.

Theres a few projects just getting started on sourceforge (http://sourceforge.net) - just search for Esperanto.

Nothing has gotten near completion yet, but nice to see people working on it.

I noticed them. Problem is that none of them have released any files yet which might indicate the project is dead. I would love to see Gnomo completed as it would be an excellent addition to the Esperanto community.
