Offering Domain Registration?

I want to know how this exactly works. I have to purchase in bulk from eNom and then resell at my price? I'm interested in offering this services for more quality and stability in our company.

Regards.

There are many people that would be more than happy to provide you with a free $8.95 eNom reseller account with no need to deposit $500.

You do not "purchase" in bulk, but eNom gives you a special rate (starting at $8.95 going down all the way to $6.95). You can then turn around and charge your customers whatever you see fit and you'll keep the difference minus transaction fees.

If you're looking to make $$$ off of domain reselling, good luck.

Hello,

Enom offers reseller package which is very good. You can have your own site which internally connects to ENOM and you can resell the domain through them.

Thank you.

Regards,

I haven't had to pay for a reseller account. A friend of mine gives me his price that he gets on his reseller account at RegisterFly Even though the signup is free on resellersclub.com, it looks like you still have to pay $199, I know I wouldn't want to do this as there are cheaper ways of buying a domain without having to pay a registration fee or an up-front deposit.

The 'Startup' option is to become an Enom or another Registrar's Reseller. However you can later invest in becoming your own Registrar, but that's a long process with lots of factors involved including becoming ICANN Acredited. Authority to sell .COMs and .NET's with Verizon as well as any other domain extensions you wish to sell you will need to apply for with the owners of that extension.

Becoming ICANN Acredited is extremely expensive, and worse, you must make a deposit for application fees (thousands of dollars), that are non-refundable. This means, you fork out thousands of dollars, and may not be accepted......and you still lose the money.

Last time I checked it was $3000.00 which is still alot of money. I never knew that if you are declined the application you won't get a refund.

No, all you do is deposit $100 or so in your domain reseller account. I suggest you stay away from Enom, but you could try Directi or WildWestDomains. Again, STAY AWAY FROM ENOM AND REGISTERFLY!

I've heard many negative reviews of RegisterFly, so I don't doubt you when you say that. But, why eNom? Did you have personal experience or just your opinion after reading a bunch of reviews?

I have also read many bad reviews on RegisterFly. As for Enom It would be interesting to see why EQWebHost doesn't like Enom and see if he is willing to justify it.

The only negative thing I have to say about Enom is their are too many resellers of them now. It's ludocris.

Sorry about that last post, I truly wasn't even thinking.

One thing I'd like to say to domain resellers: if possible, somewhere on your reseller site try to post a mini-tutorial about the upkeep of the domain name. At the very least, let your customers know how very important it is to keep your email and contact information current - I even tell people to add their domain registrar to the list of people they'd inform when they move (you know, post office, your relatives, and your registrar!)

I see so many sad cases of people who lose control of their domain, because their reseller registered it in their name, for the client, or the contact info is so out of date that there's no way to verify their ownership any more.

I know most resellers have interfaces that allow customers to enter their own info, but it doesn't hurt to have a little posted comment or two about the upkeep.
