Nice surprise

I found a very inexpensive host with multiple domain abilities to host several small content sites. They gave me a reseller account for the same price as it would be easier for me to add domains that way. Why is that easier, out of curiousity?

With a reseller account, each domain of yours will have its own control panel. ;)

Pricing generally tends to be that way-same cost for a reseller account as there is little difference at their end as to how much cost is involved. You do the work, so it doesn't bother them.

But this way you deal with it all yourself instead of having to contact them every time you need to add something. This cuts corners, from their point of view.

It's not easier per se, as using "addon domains" is not exactly harder. Some people just find it better/nicer/more organized to have a cPanel account for each domain.

But it must be very complicated. Much easier to have one account for many domains.
I have done it with ************ service and dare say run it smoothly.

Reseller account allow you to have all web sites hosted there have their own cpanel. And sometimes that is very important when you have group of web masters which are in charge with group of web sites

I would like to know the name of this place as well and check it out. When you say small plans can you give us abit more detail here too? And having one cPanel run everything or just singles is personal preference most times. It doesnt really matter to me either way.

With single Cpanel there are no ways to separate accounts. WHM is needed

Simply create multiple addon domains and then create corresponding FTP accounts for each addon domain. That way, every addon domain content can be managed with an individual FTP authorization. It may work fine for simple sites that does NOT use MySQL db.
