Never Drink and Buy Domains!

Ok I learned a very, very important lesson last night. I bought a new domain name-luckily something that I just intend to play around with.

I opened my emails this morning to review what I'd done. :crash:

I typoed in my domain name. I'll look a total fool if I ever go to use it. Now I have to never admit to having the domain.

Never, ever, drink and buy.
 
You can drink and buy, you just need to have a designated speller. ;) I've definitely managed to screw up spelling my name or writing out my zipcode since I tend to transpose numbers and letters. I've learned to double or triple check lest it causes problems.
 
Hans123 has a good point, there.

Go tag back and make sure that the domain is NOT set to auto-renew. Heck, if you know you aren't going to use it, just delete it after six months or so (to give yourself time to make sure...yep, you aren't going to use it.) That goes even further in ensuring that you won't auto-renew the domain.

Wow man, I would hate to be you right now... But, people do way crazier things when they're drunks, so i wouldn't worry about it :D
 
Oh mercy! Bless your heart Abbierose! I haven't ever drank while online trying to purchase something, but I have done it while I'm in a terrible state of sleep deprivation! Note to self and others: This is not a good idea!
 
I can say, that if you were not drunk, but have smoked something - you would never make such mistake... Opposite you might have invented something reallygreater thanyou expected
