Nameservers and best option

I looking at purchasing several dedicated servers from a couple of different companies and would like to use the following nameservers for example: ns1.mysite.com and ns2.mysite.com for all the servers even that the servers are not located at the same facility. When I provide the setup information to my customer does not matter what server I put them on, I want to provide the same nameservers to all. Is that possible and if not what would be my best option? Do I have to purchase all my servers from the same place?

Thanks,

Now i know that some techs can do this for you. I know that it can be done if the servers are all on the same network, other then that i don't think you can.

It would require you to purchase a server and semi-dedicate it just for DNS. This can be done, it will just take a tech highly skilled in DNS lookup tables, etc...

What I would do is get 1 server and make it DNS and MySQL. But the thing to remember, is if that one server goes down, all your sites are down. So this is not always the best idea.

Exactly, all that needs to be done are "fowarders". You will need to setup a server with your main domain, and edit the zone files to point to different IP addresses (each server). It's not really that difficult, but if you dont have technical experience, get a higher tech to assist you.
