Name of hosting plans

What do you think would be a good name for plans?
Im changing the name of my plans, have 4 predefined shared plans and think they are in need of a change.

At the minute they are

Bronze Box

Silver Box

Gold Box

Platinum Box

Still not sure if I will change, if I do it will be a little bit of work to change everything, ie. paypal and 2checkout links, links on pages, text on pages etc. etc. Have a lot of pages to go through :)

Thanks,
John

John,

Naming is really a personal thing. As long as its simple and your customers can understand the difference between them, then it really doesnt matter.

I think the plan names you have set are fine.

John,

As Andrew said, the names of the packages your company has, are very personal. True, lots of people copy other companies and use Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum or Starter, Medium, Advanced and Pro. But really, it's your choice.

Things to make sure about your plans: they need to be clear and understandable. Yes, personalize them to make sure they are not generic ones every company uses, but make it so they people can remember them. Don't have too many either. If I were a client of a webhost, I'd want to be able to remember all my hosts packages and package names easily - I admit, I being the owner of my company cannot even remember all my companies packages, lol, but neither can I remember all those of ServerMatrix, RackShack or Nocster. I think you'd be hard pressed to find someone who can.

Still though, if you want to have eight or twenty packages - your choice. However, then at least make sure your packages are easy to remember. Eg: companyname-100 and so on, the number being how much space you give or bandwidth if you offer lots of space. Some companies I know of, such as LimeHost use for their package name Apple, and so on - fruits, going up till Lime. If you had orange hosting, you could make your package names different types of oranges.

Don't always choose generic names. True, they can be easy to remember - but I can name a list of companies whom all use generic names. My company, too, uses that. But it's boring, it's old - I use it because I'm lazy and don't offer shared hosting that much so don't care, nor do my clients. Although try to be inspirational, be creative. Don't always go mainstream. ;)
