My Poor Car :(

:crap:

I've cried a lot over this. Thought I'd share.

Last Friday, the 19th, I was on my way to get insurance on my car. I got into an accident on the way there.

I've cried a lot over it. It was my car, my baby. Now it's totaled and here's the list of what I've gotta buy to get it back:

Car Guy said:
-Front Clip (Have to find what all would come with this, but Grill, Hood, Lights, Bumper, Radiator)
-Motor Mounts
-Front Kmember/stubframe (however they want to label it)
-Front Right CV Shaft
-Power steering pump and pulley
-Battery (Cables/clamps too fire department cut these)
-Timing Change Cover
-Airbags (Could cut these out for now, could possibly find a new steering wheel column at junk yard)
-Radiator Hoses
-All belts
-Air Conditioning Lines
-Battery Tray
-Tran. Cooler
-Passenger seat (Doesn't slide/lean at all, one of the computers in the back seat caused this to get stuck at the 45degree angle.)
-Driver seat doesn't lean at all but slides back and forth. You could sit in it no problem, just couldn't lean it back.)
-Center Console (Got busted apart by one of the computers hitting it)
-Computer? (Should be fine but have to hook a battery up and double check this)
-Transmission (This got shoved back, but isn't leaking, the link seems to be broken which is why it won't come out of park)

Yeah, to sign the papers for State Farm. Next time I will do like I did after the accident. Call Progressive and get it done over the phone.

I didn't have any other choice.

You didn't give yourself another choice.

Take a taxi.
Have a friend drive you.
Hitchhike.
Walk.

All better options than driving un-insured.

Sorry to hear of your troubles John.

Better watch it ... they will be replacing my picture with yours under the "personification of Murphy's Law" in the encyclopedia :)

Take care ... hope it all works out for you
Peter

I think we've been a bit hard on you John. I was discussing your situation with my brother the other day and we did agree that the odds were definitely theoretically in your favor. Who would have guessed you would have an accident right at that time? Somehow it seems that you just attract bad luck. :(

Thus, I wish you a lot of good luck in the future!

Dan my boss and I were talking about that. The thing is that is my luck, and has been my luck over the past couple months. It's all working out though as that car needed new tires, had 4 holes in the gas tank, needed a new exhaust system and the car shop had blown one of the speakers in it. Everything happens for a reason...just gotta find out what the reason is behind this.

Lesson taught and learned ... I think. Don't drive without insurance :)

4 holes in the gas tank??? You should be thanking the Good Lord you and the car didn't blow up. Geez ... when you think of it that way ... your horseshoes were working pretty darned good that day.

John, now that all of the scolding is over, it should probably be mentioned that it's good you were not injured in this incident.
What caused the accident? Was there another car involved?

Another car was involved. I have to try and get the security tapes from a nearby business to prove it, but a local business van pulled out in front of me.

wow that does suck bad.. havent had that happen, but ive came close to wrecks when i first got my car, so i somewhat know how you feel
