My first site - in Bluehost??

I have heard that there are good feedbacks for Bluehost. I am starting my sites and want to host with them as my brother also had great uptime rate.

Is it worth the price of $6/month for 30 domains?

Unfortunately I do not have any direct experience with Bluehost, but you have to ask yourself: Are your websites worth $6/month to you to maintain?

It all depends on how much resources you intend to use and what you intend to do with your site. That will create a large range of prices and good hosts for you to choose from.

Resource usage, network speed, how big your site is/how much traffic it get, all are something that should be considered. Sometimes going to the biggest host in the world won't be the best solution, then again it could be who knows.

On the surface, this sounds great. Make sure you read their Terms of Service. The measure of suitability depends on what you plan to do with those 30 domains.

Well, along with the price, there are many things to consider in choosing a web hosting: storage space, monthly transfer, uptime, and some other measures. I found in the market there are many web hosting services offered for only $5 a month. For the low price you can get unlimited storage space, bandwidth, number of domains to host and databases.

I don't have first hand experience with BlueHost. I can honestly say I've never seen anything really positive about the company that stuck in my mind. Good luck regardless of which web hosting company you select.

I actually used to work for Bluehost. There's good and bad. If you don't mind being on a server with 300+ other accounts then go for it. They do have 24/7 phone support(in USA) which is nice :) If you're really that interested I'd highly suggest trying them out for a month(they have a 30 day money back policy) and see if they meet your needs.

No one seriously needs "unlimited hosting", and anyone who needed anything near unlimited knows better than to pay $6/month for it :)

Honestly would you need 30 domains? Unless you've got 3 or 4 sites that you need to buy the .net .biz etc equivalents to prevent cyber squatting or potential confusion from your visitors.

I would be looking at how much bandwidth and disk space I was going to get and how many other accounts would be sharing the server with me.

There alright I hosted a site with them for about 5 months and no bumps. It was smoth I left because the site was sold.

Aside from the overselling thing I'd say the only disadvantage of being with Bluehost is that they don't offer other services to upgrade to. They have 1 shared hosting plan, and if you really need more of the CPU you can pay around $20 more a month to have your account migrated to a "high CPU usage" server. Which just means that you're on a server with less accounts.

I will say that IMO Bluehost does the best at overselling than anyone else in terms of managing things :)

Not quite so based on my experience with their twin brother, Hostmonster.

When reviewing shared web hosting companies, Blue Host is among the top of them for me. I have always reviewed Blue Host pretty good, every now and then I get poor comments about them but for the most part webmasters seem to be satisfied with what they get for the cost.

I wouldn't say they are twins but they are the same company 100% sure and in help of this they are trying to cover as much makrket as possible

They are completely identical. When I worked for them although my paychecks were from Bluehost, I answered Hostmonster calls/tickets/chats half the time :)

It was always funny when someone called to cancel their BH service and when I asked why they'd say "we decided to switch to host monster" :) Many times I'd reply with "do you want me to setup your host monster account for you too?".. Long story short, I work for myself now :)
