They ain't lying when they are saying Firefox 3.5 is twice as fast as the previous 3.0 release. I just downloaded the latest version and all the most common websites I visit, including HD, are blazin' fast. :)

If you are a Firefox user, have you tried it yet?

I'm using 3.5, but I can't seem to notice the speed, in fact it seems slower once in a blue moon. Maybe it's just my connection, who knows.

I don't know, but I am seeing the difference even on my old machine!
I did notice that just to launch the application the first time - that's taking a little more time, but once its up, its faster for me on both computers.

Just to update my experience with Firefox 3.5. It seemed decent in the beginning, but after time it would start crashing quite frequently. Hence, I'm not using a slow pc, in fact I just bought this one last week. It's not the internet either as IE works just fine. It also gave me trouble loading gmail.com.

Just downloaded and am using FireFox 3.5 now. Can't really compare it to earlier versions as I normally use IE. It is fast, but I really see no difference in speed than what I'm used to already.

I'm having trouble accessing one particular site, and have not noticed any differences in running otherwise. I changed laptops at the same time that I changed to 3.5, so I put down the great performance to a faster machine and operating system.

Apparently FF4 is supposed to be a whizz.

Actually, I am having the same problem logging in to LinkedIn after I upgraded to Firefox 3.5... Seeing how our problems intercept, there could be an issue with FF. BUT, this only happens on one of my computers - the other one works fine and also running FF 3.5...

This is interesting if its a random issue or a bug of some sort with the browser.

My biggest issue with FF are the default fonts - the displays look horrible compared to IE - even after changing the fonts.

Two website examples are my own and Hosting Discussion. The difference appears to be resolution - FF looks like 300 dpi - very thin. IE looks like 600 dpi - characters have better density and appear bolder. There is a stark difference.

It's probably some ClearType setting on your PC/browser.
