We've done this once before. However, that was a while ago. I thought we had a good strategy, but this time I want to change things up a little. First, I hope to make it a regular monthly draw (depending on your reaction). Second, I don't think being a top poster is a fair enough characteristic of a certain winner, and it shouldn't be the single aspect of the award. I think we should look at the whole Top 10 and then compare them based on quality of their contributions. Only then we can reasonably conclude who the most helpful and valuable member was to HostingDiscussion.com in a given month. Third, I don't want it to become a contest that only praises the winners. All good contributors to our forum are highly valued and respected (and treated equally) and this contest should be considered to be a fun event that celebrates knowledge.
Having said that, in the search for the most helpful, most throughout and dedicated active member for the month of December 2008, I looked through last month's top contributors.
It is my pleasure to name handsonhosting the winner! A member who joined the forum back in early 2005 made his initial appearance (and what a strong one!) just in December!
This month's prize: A premium site-wide text-link at HostingDiscussion.com for a period of 1 month ($85 value).
Congrats to handsonhosting!
