The month of August was another example month in that each member finishing the month in Top 10 has an equal chance of becoming the most valuable member of the month!

I was very intrigued by a few members' postings this month. Obviously we have Steve-Hostirian, who continues the strong presence. But I was also happy to see other members taking active involvement and taking some good points across such as NetLine-James and HL-Sean. We also had Chris, our staff news writer take an active role in the community (a.k.a Zendevi).

The most impression, however, came from a member who finished the month in our Top 10 for the first time. I've noticed csn-uk back in March 2009 when he first joined the forum. He never posted a lot, but every time he did, I made sure to read his submissions as they were always well thought through, complete and included very interesting perspective on things. A developer and designer by trade, csn-uk now runs his own web hosting company Central Server Network - UK. I always knew that should csn-uk finish the month in the Top 10, he'd carry a good chance of taking the main recognition prize of the month. And now, 6 months into his forum activity, I would like to finally announce csn-uk the winner of this month's Most Valuable Member award. Congrats!

Honorable mention:
Apart from those mentioned above, I thought that Zachary McClung continued on the great run. It is amazing that someone as busy as Zachary still finds the time to stay so active and helpful on HostingDiscussion.com as well. His contribution in the month of August was awesome, and because of that I'd like to give Zach our honorable mention this month.

Congrats to all Top 10 who made it this month! The winner will be contacted in private.

Congrats to CSN-UK. Hope to see the trend continue for the September listing :) There's been quite a bit of jockying for position in August, and with 5 "new" members to the Top 10 list it surely was a tough decision. Well deserved though!

Thank You :)

6 Months! , time fly’s when you’re having fun I must admit and HD has been a key daily read since id discovered it, the environments great as Zackary had said “it’s hard not to contribute” it’s just nice to see that there is once source of information (in comparison to the others) that is both forth coming and fun to be a part of.

Complement to your good work Artashes and to the community :)

Well deserved, csn, as I mentioned already. Its always nice to have truly nice and knowledgeable people around. It makes working on the site, appreciating the work of others and dedicating countless hours to it worth it!

I got a crazy thought today about what can be done if top 10 or 20 members came together to start a business as one... :D Top industry minds running a hosting company... I am just wondering if the effect of a dream-team would actually be proportionate to its success...

Would certainly make for an interesting board meeting , would probably need coffee on tap however and if 10/20 of us descended on starbucks with our iPhone’s, G1’s, Blackberries and assorted laptops I’m sure we’d have some interesting onlookers as we ironed out the nitty gritty of a good TOS as well as discussed the latest marketing trends and strategies over a mixed assortment of drinks and heavy in-depth dialect.

On the other hand it could get messy :) All the "talkers" trying to speak over eachother, etc.. Mite be best set in a pub rather than starbucks :)

Congradulations on your win. I'm hope for starting a business with the top finishers. It would need to be at the pub though. :)

Let me know the pub ;)

I do think it would be an interesting venture, no matter what way it went. I'd fear that we would end up like the corporate world with everyone taking an opinion, nobody wanting to conceed on their ideas/direction and a lot of red tape :) On the other hand, when you put a few business minded people in a room for a few hours, strange things happen - and usually good ;)

If your ever looking to jump on board with another hosting project Conor. I have one sitting on the back burner and would be happy to have you. :)

Very interesting concept, but in spite of how much I write, I'm really a listener moreso than a talker. I think if you put most of the people who post here in a group gathering, we'd all have to wear sunglasses, as great ideas would light up the room.

You think you've accomplished a lot, and leave the pub feeling accomplished with many plans for the future, then ___ never emails you like they said they would, and you forget about the passionate business ideas conjured up while you were drunk :)

Hey Zachary, have a new product launch in the works currently, but it may be something we need to have a chat about. I hired a couple of new staff members to Hands-on, and it's definitely freed me up a little bit for marketing and involvement in other projects I've had just sitting there! So we'll have to touch base on that again down the road maybe.

And Siforek - I see you've had those conversations with people too!! I can't say I'm not guilty of it (many irons in the fire some times) but it sure does get annoying!

I have a lot of friends who call me wasted going Zach, we should do this business deal where we like get girls together and make movies. My response is, or you could get a job. click :)
