The month of April was not a very exciting for me. Consistent server issues from our previous provider, we had to urgently search for a new home. Overnight we had 27 offers on the table and finally we picked the one from HandsOnWebHosting.com, a company run by Conor, the first winner of the Most Valuable Member of the Month contest and our Community Advisor today.

In light of this, until we had a reliable server, I had to postpone the announcement of last month's contest winner. After all, we had one of the most busiest months and going through hundreds of posts generated by our Top 10 ranked members would have proven to be a real pain considering a very slow page load time.

Regardless, as I mentioned we had a very busy month and it took me 2 days to go through each post and make the decision.

Again, we had some really good competitive spirit, lots of cool posts, new names that really had some great posts from the likes of Zachary McClung from the Web Host Boot Camp 2009 virtual conference, who paid a nice visit.

Now to the winner! If you are around on a regular basis, it is hard not to notice this member. Already a winner once, he remains active almost on a daily basis with an unbelievably friendly attitude and great advice to anyone who needs it. It is hard not to agree that Steve-Hostirian's well written guides and discussions almost always spark active debate and conversation about the issues he raises. Apart from his own threads that he starts, Steve continues to cover ground in many different forums providing his views and opinions. For this reason, Steve from Hostirian.com becomes the Most Valuable Member of the Month winner for the month of April 2009. Steve (Hostirian.com) will be awarded this time with 10,000 impressions in our 125x125 banner position on HostingDiscussion.com. The winner will be contacted in private.

Honorable mention:
csn-uk (from CSN-UK.net) receives an honorable mention for last month's activity. To most he might appear a relatively quiet member. But when he comes up with advice, he makes sure he gives the best advice possible. Most of his suggestions and posts are throughout and backed by solid experience. Our UK-based friend is definitely on the radar now! :D

Congrats to all Top 10 who made it this month!

As always, the best to everyone's success.

Congrats Steve, and thank you for the honourable mention and time you place into this community Artashes . Great community that’s going here and it’s nice to play a part :) and hopefully HD will become even greater resource to those looking to learn or get involved with all aspects of webhosting :)

Thanks for the nice words.
We are working on something new and fantastic this year, so I hope there is nothing but growth in the years ahead. I love this community and will do anything to make members' satisfaction my #1 priority. Sounds cheesy, but its true.

But its the members like you guys in Top 10 and the rest of the community that makes this place rock!

lol i'm always in the top ten but never #1 ;( I'm gunna have to work on that :P

Well it'll take a bit of work if you really want it. I mean, look at all the stuff Steve posts.. From what I've seen it's roughly 1 article a day. I personally prefer to simply bring up good questions, and of course contribute what I can to others.

That's exactly what this contest is about! Its all about quality, not quantity! Some of our previous winners and honorable mentions were not even top posters, but they were in Top 10.

Congrats Steve! With how much you post how do you get any work done?
That's a good question - I keep lots of windows open and multi-task. I wear out about one keyboard per month. A lot of days I'm sitting here at 3:30PM still wondering what I'm going to write about - like today, I still have no clue.

Wish I had the time to post more on forms. I am at the stage of getting my name out there in the real world not cyber world yet.
