I just wanted to stop in and say Happy Memorial Day to all of the US members.
Today is a good day for a barbeque, but it is so much more than that.
Today is another "Thanksgiving" that we overlook, for the people we take for granted.
Today, as you mingle among family and friends, to all those who served in the military, whether it was during war-time or not....thank them.
These guys give up, and sacrifice more than you know. Some of them never come home, while other come home....to no home, and of course some come home finding that they have lost everything, including respect.
It is because of these guys that America has what it has today. From 1776 until today, these men, women, and back in that day...children, gave their lives so that we may have the freedom that many people take for granted, along with the people who faught to give it to us.
For the last few Memorial Day holidays, we have had to watch as some of our young men and women lost their lives, over something we may not agree with. The fact is, keep in mind that regardless of whether we agree with it or not, our solidiers are doing their jobs, and doing what they are ordered to do, they are not doing it on their own, or because they want to.
So today, with every hamburger, or beer.....toss one back for the young men and women of The United State Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines...Hoooah
