Lunarpages

Hey everybody. Just wondering what people think of Lunarpages webhosting as opposed to other cheap hosting companies like godaddy or bluehost. Or even the guys who've been around forever like Fortunecity or Yahoo.

Lunarpages has been around for sometime and, generally speaking, this is a good sign unto itself. Although I have no personal experience with their services, I gather from their reviews that they run similarly to other hosts along those same lines. If you desire web hosting from a larger company, this is probably the route to go.

I'd also like to add that companies that don't center around hosting - that is to say that they offer hosting as an auxilary service - generally are not the best choice though I do work for a client and friend who is hosted by Godaddy. While not the best in the world, it gets the job done and he nor I have any complaints. However, he hasn't pushed the bandwidth limit quite yet although his site continues to grow.

I have seen a lot of good and not so good reviews about lunar pages. I would rate them below hostgator and above godaddy, based on my feedback. I will agree 100% with the comment on going with someone 100% dedicated to hosting.
