Brief Information:
* Configure servers for enterprise customers (account transfers, backup, clustering and high-availability)
* Install and maintain server software (Linux, Windows)
* Assist in server stability and security
* Manage customer relationships
* Assists Customer Service Representatives with technical support issues
* Transfers accounts between servers when necessary for load balancing or account upgrades
Description:
* Monitors servers including booting and rebooting a machine when necessary
* Install and maintain server software (Linux, Windows)
* Responds to server alerts as per instructions from supervisory staff
* Responsible for server stability
* Provides technical support for Level I escalation issues via helpdesk, chat and forums
Required Skills and Knowledge:
* Minimum 3 years Linux administration experience
* Minimum 1 year experience with cPanel/WHM and/or Plesk
* System architecture, topology design and implementation experience
* Understanding of HTML/PHP/ASP/JSP helpful
* DNS administration
* User/host account administration
* TCP/IP networking & troubleshooting
* Firewall experience
* Familiarity with Apache, PHP, Sendmail and Exim
* Experience with managing web servers & secure certificates
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Attention to detail and dependability
* Excellent team player
* Able to work in a high pressure 24/7/365 environment
